God has given gifts to His church. One type of gift can be described as a "ministry" or "people gift". This is where God anoints and develops people who have specific contributions to the equipping of the Body of Christ - His church and its impact into the world. The following passage outlines five main giftings.
Ephesians 4:11
It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. - (Ephesians 4v11-13)
South City Church (SCC) is an autonomous local church led by a local eldership team. The eldership team believe Ephesians 4:11 ministry input to be a vital component to the health, mission, impact and maturity of SCC.
The SCC elders pursue and nurture such key relationships based on covenantal friendships, recognition of gifting and common vision and values.
From day one this church and its leadership has received outstanding apostolic partnership and input from experienced, Godly and gifted friends. This is an ever evolving and deepening process. We are truly grateful to God for their training, friendship, support, partnership, sacrifice, teaching, and care for the leaders and saints in SCC!
Our vision as a church includes developing five-fold ministries within this local church that 'equip the saints', impact our city and are a great blessing to the nation and nations beyond. Two areas of particular missional focus in the nations are: the Indian sub-continent and Europe.
